Busbys was founded in 1934 in Hayes by Doris Busby (the Grandmother of the present M.D.) , which makes us one of the oldest carpet & flooring specialists in England.

Unlike some retailers, our prices are not artificially inflated in order to show an “amazing reduction” – there is no such thing as a free lunch. As our prices are very competitive, if they weren’t we would not still be here after 75 years!

As we are founder members of the Carpet Foundation, we follow a code of practice approved by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT),this gives you total peace of mind and guarantees that your deposit is safeguarded (The Carpet Foundation is to the Carpet Industry as ABTA is to the travel industry).

We are also very long standing members of GREENDALE – a unique mutual organisation that encompasses 140 other like minded high quality independent flooring specialists throughout the U.K., enabling us to have a multi-million pound buying power rivalling the largest high street retailers.

Being members of the N.I.C.F. (National Institute of Carpet & Floorlayers) we ensure that the highest standards are carried out in all our installations.

We are members of THE FLOORING GUILD – the organisation dedicated to improving skills in the floorlaying industry. We are very active members of The Ruislip Chamber of Commerce and we take an active part in helping to improve the local environment.

As we are passionate about flooring we want you the customer to make the right selection that matches your aspirations & expectations – as well as your pocket!

Although our feet are well grounded in the past, our hearts and heads are very much in the 21st century – we employ all the latest technology, so when our estimator calls on you, we will digitally plan and estimate for you in there and then in your own home – so there is no lengthy wait for the estimate to arrive in the post.
